Impressions Children's Ministry:  The goal of Gate City's Children's Ministry is to make a godly "impression" on children from the earliest of ages.  The name comes from Deut. 6:6-7, where Moses has shared the law from God and says, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…” The goal of a Christ-centered family and the goal of a Christ-centered children’s ministry should be the same: to impress the truths of God on to the hearts of children.  In keeping with this concept, our nursery and pre-school ministry is called "First Impressions," since as a church family this is our first opportunity to demonstrate and communicate the truths of Scripture.  Grades K-3 is called "Positive Impressions," as we want to build on the foundation that has been laid with more truth and deeper understanding. Finally, grades 4-5 is called "Lasting Impressions," because we want to be intentional in the goal that our children have a personal relationship with Jesus and are not simply prepared for the challenges of middle-school, but the challenges of life and the reality of eternity. Fusion Student Ministry:  Our student ministry is for children grades 6 through 12 and is founded on Ephesians 4:4-6.  The foremost goal of our student ministry is, to the extent possible, ensure that students have a personal relationship with Christ.  Once they have that, we want to add this foundation to ensure that their faith can withstand the challenges that come with being a Christian teen.  To accomplish that goal, we seek to disciple students through our weekly Sunday School, outreach efforts, and weekly Fusion Worship.  We want to do this in an engaging way, so we make sure that there are plenty of opportunities for our students to have fun and develop strong bonds with Christian peers.  [MORE]

Joy Group Senior Adult Ministry:  The Joy Group is Gate City's Senior Adult Ministry and is for those who are age 50 and over. The goal of this ministry is to meet the social and spiritual needs of our seniors. In addition to a bi-monthly senior adult men's breakfast (ROMEO–Retired Old Men Eating Out), there are monthly activity and ministry opportunities for senior adults.  The Joy Group provides opportunities not simply for fellowship but for ministry and service. Twice each month, our seniors participate in a day-time outreach ministry, Joy Group Visitation. In addition, they seek to ensure that our church's homebound members needs for love and encouragement are met through visits and by providing meals on a monthly basis.  Senior adults are a valued part of the fellowship, ministry and service of Gate City.  [MORE]

Sunday School:  Though Sunday School has been around for a long time, it remains one of the best tools that we have to do regular, consistent discipleship and Bible training.  Beyond that, Sunday School provides an excellent opportunity for people to be part of a small group and develop a real sense of belonging.  Gate City offers Sunday School each Sunday morning beginning at 9:00AM.  Our classes are age graded, nursery through adults.  To help you find the right class, we have greeters at the various entrances to the building that will be more than happy to direct you.  [MORE]

Music Ministry:  Music is an important part of people's lives both outside and inside the church.  As part of our worship services, we have an adult choir and a praise team.  In addition we offer "Wired," our choir for children.  The adult choir rehearses on Sundays at 5:30PM and the rehearsals are always open to guests who would like to consider being a part.

tapestry2014Women's Ministry: The goals of Tapestry Women’s Ministry are to build Christ-centered relationships among women of all ages and to promote the growth of God’s Kingdom through spiritual outreach within the church, our community, and the world. Various opportunities are held throughout the year to allow us to share Christian fellowship as well as promoting Christian growth – visit our website for more information.
