Prayer is something that should be important to followers of Christ. It should be important for them individually as people and collectively as a church. At Gate City, we want to operate in ways that demonstrate its importance.
On the fourth Sunday of each month we meet at 4PM for a time to pray together as a church family. We break into small groups and, with the help of a group leader and prayer guide, we spend an hour talking to God. In doing so, we’re communicating that we depend on God, that He can do what we cannot, and that we want Him guiding our steps.
In the fall of 2021, we began the Pray For Me Campaign. This ministry links the generations in our community through prayer. During the campaign, adult believers from various generations become Prayer Champions and commit to a year of prayer for one student or family with young children.
