Karen
Peters is the pianist and choir director for Gate City's
traditional service. She has been involved in music ministry at GC
since August 2002.
Karen is originally from Caroline County, Virginia, but has lived in
the triad area since 1983. She holds music degrees from James
Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and the University of
Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She was a staff accompanist at the
North Carolina School of the Arts for 13 years. She now teaches
private piano and voice lessons from her home and also accompanies
the Salem Academy Glee Club.
Karen and her husband Scott live in Winston-Salem. They have two
young sons, Caleb and Matthew.
